Executive Director/ Doula
Crystal Muñóz
Crystal Muñoz, founder and Executive Director of Roots Family Center, brings over 12 years of experience working with HIPPY and Parents as Teachers (PAT) programs. She previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Focus Points Family Resource Center in Globeville, Elyria, and Swansea—an organization that has provided HIPPY and PAT programs to thousands of Spanish-speaking children and their families for over 20 years.
Crystal has witnessed firsthand the transformative outcomes and steady growth that families experience when they have access to these programs. She holds dual certification as a PAT supervisor and home visitor, and she is a national trainer for HIPPY USA.
Having grown up in the community Roots Family Center serves, Crystal has a personal connection to its mission. Her three children attended Denison Montessori, a southwest Denver public school, further deepening her ties to the families and neighborhoods she works tirelessly to support.
Program Coordinator/ Doula
Alejandra López
Alejandra López, Bilingual Parents as Teachers Coordinator and Home Visitor, brings over six years of experience in home visitation programs. She has held various roles, including as a parent, home visitor, and coordinator, which has given her a unique understanding of the challenges families face.
In addition to her role, Alejandra has coordinated community wellness programs like nutrition classes, Zumba, and community gardens. She is also a certified facilitator in Family Development Credential, a program focused on strength-based family support.
Born and raised in the community Roots Family Center serves and continues to live there with her family, strengthening her connection and commitment to the families she serves.

Silvya Minjares
Silvya is a proud member of the Southwest Denver community. She helps parents of children ages 3 to 5 guide their learning journey and prepares them for academic success.

Fabiola is an active member of the Westwood community and collaborates with local organizations such as BuCu West, LifeSpan Local, Una Mano Una Esperanza, and Westwood Unidos, among others.
